Chang E’s Guests — REDO
After much deliberation, I decided to change the composition of this piece, so that it has more of a Little Prince feel and shows off the characters more than the inexplicably purple night sky.  Also I think I made the astronaut cuter.  The moon lander is already adorable, I just had to paint its portrait and BAM—cute.
For those who didn’t see the earlier version: In Chinese mythology, Chang-e flies away to the Moon to become a goddess of longevity and all kinds of good things.  I have heard that the Apollo astronauts were told to look out for her—and her jade rabbit, another Chinese denizen of Earth’s satellite—when they landed.  I think she would have offered them a cup of tea if they had met!
